The Club holds monthly general meetings on the 2nd Sunday of the month commencing at 10.00am

at  the Lakelands Community Hall

(except December). 

Visitors and guests are welcome.

The club also  publishes a bimonthly  magazine for members.

"The Newcastle Club and its members put on a fantastic well-run show today, and once again Intermediate and Novice breeders have come to the fore in 2024, picking up several major and best of variety awards!"

• As most of you know by now, GRAND CHAMPION was won by local Novice breeder, Sam Richens with his outstanding Any Age Normal Grey Cock bird. This bird was a super budgie, in superb condition. Hugest congratulations to Sam…a humble and happy winner on the day!

• CHAMPION OPPOSITE SEX in show went to Intermediate breeder John Spicer with his lovely Cinnamonwing Hen – such a showy bird.

• CHAMPION OPEN YOUNG was won by A & C DRUERY with a powerful Normal Green Cock.

• CHAMPION INTERMEDIATE YOUNG was won by another local breeder, Mick Kime, with a super Cinnamonwing Grey Cock bird that was in just perfect feather.

• CHAMPION NOVICE YOUNG went to yet another Newcastle breeder Josh Short, with his Cinnamonwing Cock bird.

• CHAMPION BEGINNER / JUNIOR was won by Mark Haywood.
